Round-up of our internationals' EURO group-stage campaign

With the EURO 2024 group stage now over and done with, let’s take a look back at how Paris’s internationals got on with their respective national teams.

Ousmane Dembélé / Warren Zaïre-Emery / Randal Kolo Muani / Bradley Barcola - France - Group D

In Group D, France were confronted with Austria, the Netherlands and Poland. In their opening game, Les Bleus emerged from a long and intense physical battle against the Austrians with a vital 1-0 win, before being held to a 0-0 draw by Ronald Koeman's Dutch charges and then to a 1-1 draw by Michał Probierz's Poland. Over the course of the group stage, Bradley Barcola was given his first-ever France start by Didier Deschamps against the Poles, while Ousmane Dembélé started all three matches and Randal Kolo Muani came off the bench in the first and third encounters.

Gonçalo Ramos / Danilo Pereira / Vitinha / Nuno Mendes - Portugal - Group F

Having made it through to the last 16 on Matchday 2, Portugal eventually finished top of Group F. The hard work was done for the Paris quartet thanks to a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic and a 3-0 win over Turkey, despite a 2-0 defeat to Georgia on Matchday 3. Vitinha gave a perfect account of himself in the opening game by earning the Player of the Match award and would actually start his side's first two games alongside Nuno Mendes, while Danilo started against Georgia and Gonçalo Ramos came off the bench in the same match.

Fabian Ruiz - SPAIN - Group B

The Paris midfielder was one of Spain's best players during the EURO 2024 group stage, as La Roja booked their place in the last 16 by finishing top of the so-called "group of death" with three wins. The first of these wins came against Croatia (3-0), with Ruiz proving to be a rock in midfield by notching up a superb assist as well as an equally splendid goal. Against Italy, Luis de la Fuente's men grounded out a 1-0 victory thanks to an own goal from Riccardo Calafiori, before rounding off their group-stage campaign with another 1-0 win, this time against Albania. Incidentally, Paris's no. 8 started the first two matches.

Gianluigi Donnarumma - ItalY - Group B

Having been drawn into the same group as Spain, the reigning European champions sealed their path through to the next stage of the competition by finishing second. Gli Azzurri started off with a 2-1 win over Albania before falling to the aforementioned 1-0 defeat to Spain and then snatching a 1-1 draw against Croatia through Mattia Zaccagni's curling shot in the eighth and final minute of added time, thereby putting themselves through to the knockout stage and keeping their aim of retaining their title intact. As for the Paris keeper, Donnarumma pulled off some stunning stops in all three games and even saved a penalty in the third one.

Milan Skriniar - SlovAKIA - Group E

Slovakia began the tournament with a 1-0 win over Belgium before losing 2-1 to Ukraine. With only three points in the bag at this point, Milan Škriniar and co.'s fate would be decided in their final game against Romania, where a 1-1 draw saw them advance to the next round. Paris's no. 37 played the entirety of all three fixtures.
