After making his debut for Metz, Vincent Gérard signed for Montpellier and then Istres where he won the 2009 Coupe de la Ligue and was named MVP of the final. The highlight of his time at Dunkerque (2010-2015) was a French championship title in 2014. The man from the Lorraine region returned to the MHB in 2015 and won four trophies including the 2018 Champions League. In the selection process, he became European champion (2014), World champion (2017) and Olympic champion (2021).
He was voted best goalkeeper at the 2017 World Cup, Euro 2018 and five times in the Lidl Star League.
