Several Parisians nominated for the LNH Awards

Several Paris Saint-Germain Handball players are in the running for individual honours at the upcoming LNH Trophies ceremony - check out our full run-down of the Parisians in line for glory. The voting campaign for the upcoming LNH Trophies is officially open until Monday 30 May, at noon.

Vincent Gérard :

Red-hot 'keeper Vincent Gérard is a no-brainer in terms of inclusion in the list of nominees for best goalkeeper (alongside Nantes' Emil Nielsen and Chambéry's Nikola Portner). The French international sits tenth on the saves chart with 175. Particularly notable was his performance in Nîmes (25-32), when he set a new personal league best by stopping no fewer than five penalties.

Mikkel Hansen :

Unfortunately absent from the court since the end of March, Mikkel Hansen will not be able to finish his last season in the capital in the best way. But, thanks to his 86 goals scored in 18 appearances, he has every chance of being voted best left-back (he is in competition with Erwin Feuchtmann of Toulouse and Robin Molinié of Cesson-Rennes). His goal in the win at Montpellier (33-34) is also in the running in the Best Goal category.

Benoit Kounkoud :

With 71 goals, Benoit Kounkoud is already enjoying his most prolific year in the Liqui Moly StarLigue. Among his string pdf strikes, several have left a mark - which is certainly the case for his masterpiece in the Parisians' win over arch-rivals Nantes (33-28). After being set up by Vincent's court-long pass, he leapt to catch the ball and fired home while still in mod-air - a kung-fu goal for the ages! Needless to say, this goal is also in the running Best Goal of the season.

Luc Steins :

Unsurprisingly, Luc Steins is on the list of the best centre halves. He will have to fend off competition from his successor at Le Fenix, Erik Balenciaga, and Aymeric Minne from Nantes. Luc, who was named centre-half and MVP of last season, is thus in the running to succeed himself. His 70 goals scored in 24 games should in any case make him a serious candidate.

Kamil Syprzak :

Obviously, Kamil Syprzak could also bring home a trophy. The best pivot award seems to have his name on it, as our Polish international has been performing well since the beginning of the season. In fact, he is the ninth-top scorer in the division, with 140 goals. He rarely trembles in front of goal (78% of successful shots on average), as his perfect 12 from 12 in Nancy can attest (32-37).

Note that all the players nominated in their position are also in the list of contenders for the MVP title. Voting closes on 30 May and the ceremony will take place on 2 June. To vote, please see below.
