Several Parisians in the running at the NHL Awards
Several of our Rouge et Bleu will be in the running for awards at the NHL Trophies ceremony, which will be held at the Théâtre Marigny in Paris on 10 June.
LUC STEINS
Player of the Yearin 2021, 2022 and 2023, Luc Steins could be back for more in 2025. The Dutch international has had a very successful season in France and is well ahead on the league's assists chart, with no fewer than 207 goals cooked up for his teammates in 24 appearances (25 more than his closest competitor). Nominated in the ‘Best centre-half’ category, Luc is up against Seif Elderaa (Limoges) and Aymeric Minne (Nantes).

KAMIL SYPRZAK
Kamil Syprzak has been named in the Best 7 almost every week, so it would come as no surprise to see him in the Team of the Season. In any case, our Polish player has done everything necessary to earn his place. With 167 goals, he is the second-highest scorer in the competition, with a success rate of nearly 77% in front of goal. Among his outstanding performances was an unforgettable 10 from 10 against Dunkerque (27-27). In his category, Kamil is up against Gabril Nyembo (Toulouse) and Nicolas Tournat (Nantes).

ELOHIM PRANDI
Voted Player of the Year for the 2024-2025 season, Elohim Prandi is one of the favourites to take this season's gong. Despite several weeks out with injury at the end of the calendar year, Elo' is close to the top 10 on the Liqui Moly StarLigue scorers chart, with 121 goals in just 20 appearances. This season, he reached the 600-goal mark in the league with Les Rouge et Bleu. But in addition to his remarkable statistics, the French international scores big in terms of style points, his knack for producing spectacular goals making him a firm fan favourite. His competition for the 'Best left-back' position are Thibaut Briet (Nantes) and Ihor Turchenko (Limoges).

FERRAN SOLE
With 109 goals in 25 matches, Ferran Solé has already had his best season since joining the capital club. He has four games left to try and break his 2017 record of 123 goals, a mark set in his first year at Toulouse and, given his current form, this feat is entirely possible. Especially since, away to Chambéry (31-37), he only needed 60 minutes to score 12 times (from as many attempts). He could therefore be voted best right winger of the season if he wins his duel against Kauldi Odriozola (Nantes) and Benjamin Richert (Chambéry, then Montpellier).

RAUL GONZALEZ
In his last season at Paris Saint-Germain Handball, Raul Gonzalez is in the running to be named Coach of the Year, as he was in 2020. Since arriving in France, the Spanish coach has won six French league titles and is leading the league with four games to go in his seventh season. This year, his team has scored the most goals (915) but also conceded the fewest (third-best defence with 739 goals conceded). The nominees for Coach of the Year are Raul, Daniel Andjelkovic (Toulouse) and Grégory Cojean (Nantes).
On Tuesday 3 June, we will find out who is in the Best 7 and the Player of the Year will be chosen from among them. This award will be presented three days later at the ceremony (along with the other awards). You can vote for your favourite now by clicking here. Please note that the event will be open to the public. You can already book your tickets to attend the Théâtre Marigny.
