An evening that also saw a final outing at the Coubertin for 5 Parisians: Mikkel Hansen, Benoit Kounkoud, Nedim Remili, Vincent Gerard and Yann Genty. An opportunity to pay tribute to these five players and to celebrate a ninth league title for Les Rouge et Bleu.

After some delightful play from Nikola Karabatic, the club from the capital maintained their two goal lead (10' : 7-5). Les Rouge et Bleu extended their lead to four during the first quarter of an hour, thanks to Adama Keita, who picked up his third goal from his wing (14’ : 11-7).

Despite several stops from the opposition’s keeper, Paris Saint-Germain stayed in front (20’ : 12-9). The two goalkeepers were inspired during the first period,  with Yann Genty at 41% after the first twenty minutes. Mathieu Grebille scored a brace and Les Rouge et Bleu re-established their four goal lead with just a few minutes to go until the break (25’ : 17-13). Les Parisiens didn’t drop off after the break with Luka Karabatic scoring two to extend their lead to eight (34’ : 25-17). Despite an numerical disadvantage, Paris Saint-Germain continued their push and Elohim Prandi’s effort from nine metres out allowed Les Rouge et Bleu to stay in front (40’ : 28-21). A magnificent stop from Vincent Gérard to deny an effort from 7 metres allowed Les Parisiens to maintain a comfortable lead (45’ : 32-25).

Vincent Gérard was in unbeatable form in his final outing at the Coubertin. Kamil Syprzak found the back of the net and took Les Rouge et Bleu to a nine goal lead (50’ : 35-26). The Paris stopper ensured it was mission accomplished keeping Créteil at arm’s length (56’ : 38-30). Paris Saint-Germain did it.
