Raul Gonzalez: 'We did it in style'

On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain Handball ended their Liqui Moly StarLigue season with a win over Créteil (38-33) - check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Benoît Kounkoud and Nedim Remili.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"The objective at the beginning of the season was to win the championship, and we did that. But what's also important is that we did it in style, setting a new record of 30 wins. It's very hard to pull that off in this league - it's the first time a team has done it and we can be very happy with ourselves tonight. Right now we're very happy, but tomorrow we will already be focused on preparing for the Coupe de France final against a very good Nantes side."

BENOIT KOUNKOUD (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-WINGER):

"We manage to do this incredible thing of finishing a league season with 30 wins in 30 games. I am very happy to have achieved this, at this club, with my teammates. We mustn't undervalue this achievement.
Despite my injury, I was able to play a few minutes at the end of the match. I thank the club and the staff for giving me this opportunity. I was able to take part in this great celebration. I am happy, moved and very proud to have been able to wear this shirt and to have achieved so much here in Paris.
On Saturday, we have one last page to write before closing the book on this season. We missed out on the Coupe de la Ligue in December, so we'll do everything we can to get that trophy."

NEDIM REMILI (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL RIGHT-BACK):

"It was difficult to play today... These are hard moments to experience, because we have a history here. I have met some incredible people. To have to leave this club that I love so much is difficult. But that's sport! Congratulations to all of Paris Saint-Germain Handball for this record of 30 victories. I don't know if it will ever be matched. I am happy to be part of the history of the club and the championship forever. Thank you to all the staff, to the fans! I will miss you all."
