Born in Paris, Mathieu Grébille moved to Martinique at the age of 7. He started playing handball, while at the same time becoming French junior vice-champion in high jump.
He joined the Montpellier training centre before taking part in his first professional match at the age of 18. In 2012, he made his debut for France.
He won two major titles with Les Bleus, the 2014 European Championship and the 2015 World Championship. He joins Paris Saint-Germain, his second club in his career, after 12 years at the MHB.
