Luc Steins: "Keep fighting to the end"
Check out what Raul Gonzalez, Luc Steins and Mathieu Grébille had to say after the capital club's defeat against Plock (28-31) on EHF Champions League Matchday 11.
Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain handball coach):
"I think we lacked everything today. We struggled in every area of the game and it's a match to forget. We had the opportunity to consolidate second place, but now our fate depends on other results. We have to fight until the end, and we will continue in this direction."
Luc Steins (Paris Saint-Germain handball centre-half):
"We weren't focused from the start of the match. We made mistakes in attack and that affects the mentality. We were too passive in creating opportunities in attack, and I think that was our biggest problem today, so we'll have to fix that. All is not lost; direct qualification for the quarter-finals is getting complicated, but we will keep fighting to the end.‘
Mathieu Grébille (Paris Saint-Germain handball left-winger):
’We were lacking a lot of the ingredients needed to win tonight. We made a lot of mistakes, myself included. There is fatigue, because we were coming off a tough game against Nantes on Saturday, but this is the Champions League. We know that there are no small teams. We fought hard in the first half to stay in the game, but we couldn't keep up the pace afterwards. There's no going back, so we have to move forward and bounce back. The matches will come thick and fast, we have to recover and try to get into a good mindset straight away."
