From the youth system of the FC Barcelona Handball, David Balaguer won three Spanish championships, two Spanish Supercups and one Copa del Rey with the Catalan club.
After arriving in France in 2014 by joining HBC Nantes, the Spanish international won a French Cup and a Trophée des champions in 2017. The following year, he was crowned European champion with La Roja alongside his teammate who shares the right wing position in Paris, Ferran Solé.
