Raul Gonzalez: "We have to be satisfied with this success"
Check out what Raul Gonzalez, David Balaguer and Léo Plantin had to say after Les Rouge et Bleus' fine victory over Cesson-Rennes (35-29) at Coubertin on Sunday.
Raul Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain handball coach):
"We weren't up to scratch in the first half. We struggled in all areas of the game. The second half was more accomplished, and the most important thing is the two points. We have to be satisfied with this win, because the run of matches is tough but we've maintained our lead at the top of the table.
David Balaguer (Paris Saint-Germain handball right winger):
"Be it in attack or in defence, we weren't there at all in the first half. We were late in our duels, but we were able to react in the second half. We stayed united at half-time and in the dressing room, and I'm pleased with our response. It's good to have won tonight, because we've got several tough away games coming up and we'll have to stay focused during that period."
Léo Plantin (Paris Saint-Germain handball left winger):
"We showed more concentration in the second half. These are two very important points in the race for the title, and we had to go all out for this game. We knew that Cesson-Rennes were missing some key players for this game, and we were perhaps too lax in the first half. The important thing is to come away with the win. We owe it to ourselves to win these matches."
