Thank you Benoît!

During the summer break, we're thanking the Paris Saint-Germain Handball players who are leaving the capital club. Among them is Benoît Kounkoud, who is leaving the club whose academy he came up through for a new adventure with Polish giants Kielce.

It is a real club man who is leaving Paris Saint-Germain Handball. Benoît left the island of Réunion at a very young age to join the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy. He made his French league debut aged just 17 and shared the position of right-winger with Luc Abalo and Fahrudin Melic.

As the seasons went by, he gained in playing time - and goals scored - to become one of the key players of his beloved club. A symbol of the success of the Parisian youth system, he became a model for the youngsters of the youth academy who are moving up to the first team.

Over his eight years in the capital, Benoit has won almost everything. He was a part of eight of the club's nine league titles, but also four Coupes de France, three Coupes de la Ligue and two Trophée des Champions. A well-stocked trophy cabinet!

Despite being only 25 years old, Benoît was one of the longest-serving Parisians in the dressing room; only Mikkel Hansen had been at the club longer than him! He has scored 519 goals in 319 games for Paris.

The capital club would like to thank Benoît for his eight wonderful seasons in the Parisian shirt and wishes him all the best for the rest of his career.
