Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents, Jennifier Echegini grew up in England and started playing football there. After youth academy development with Millwall Lionesses FC and Arsenal, she headed for the USA in 2019 where she initially played at the University of Mississippi before going to Florida State three years later. In December 2023, she won the American university championship and won several individual trophies, including the best forward and the best player of the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference). She also won the Hermann Trophy, the most prestigious American university football award.
In January 2024, Jennifier Echegini returned to Europe to join Juventus. In just 16 meetings, she scored 10 times, and produced performances that saw her named in the league’s Team of the Season and the Young Player of the Year. She joined Paris Saint-Germain on 10 July 2024 on a three-year deal. She made her senior international debut with Nigeria in a friendly with Canada in 2022.
