Olivier Echouafni: 'We controlled the game'

The Paris Saint-Germain women's team coach and his players gave us their thoughts on their 4-0 win over Reims on Friday.

Olivier Echouafni (Paris Saint-Germain coach)

"We controlled the game, especially a great first half in which everything we had planned for came off. I think the players were aware that we needed to make the game easy for ourselves and that's what happened. We scored quickly and got a second, which freed us up and gave us confidence. The internationals felt good despite the fatigue. It was really promising. The whole squad contributed and were rewarded for their efforts."

Kadidiatou Diani (Paris Saint-Germain forward)

"It was important we score early on in the game. That gave us confidence and allowed us to build on that. We started well, that's what we'd been looking to do. Personally, I try to do my best. I scored twice today, I'm happy. Physically, it wasn't easy, but the coach tries to manage our game-time and I think he did it well."

Benedicte Simon (Paris Saint-Germain defender)

"I was happy to play against my former club. It'd been a long time since I've played a competitive game, and these were my first minutes as right-back, my new position. We felt like the draw with Bordeaux was a defeat, so it was important to win. We've beaten Reims and we're on the right track."
