Léa Khelifi joins Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of Léa Khelifi. The 20-year-old French midfielder signed a three-year contract with the capital club on Friday with the agreement running from 1 July 2019 until 30 June 2022.

Léa Khelifi came through the ranks at FC Metz and is a player with a bright future in the Division 1 Championship. The Strasbourg-born midfielder has been capped many times at national level, playing for the France U16s, U17s, U19s and U20s and her appearance at the Euro 2018 U19 Championship led her to 6 caps for the France B team.

In 2018 Léa won the French Division 2 Championship with FC Metz. For her first experience in Division 1, Léa Khelifi became one of the revelations of the season, playing 22 games, scoring 8 goals and was named amongst the Young Players of the Season at the UNFP Awards.

"I’m very proud to join Paris Saint-Germain, said Léa Khelifi putting pen to paper on her contract. I am a young player and being around some of the best footballers in the Championship is a great opportunity to improve. I hope to contribute as much as I can to the club and justify their faith in me.”

"Léa represents the future of French football in her position, said Bruno Cheyrou, General Manager of the Women's Section at Paris Saint-Germain. Her attacking skills will be a real asset to our team and her arrival shows our ever-increasing desire to include talented young players in our project.”
