Alana Cook: 'Get back to winnings ways'
Speaking alongside coach Olivier Echouafni at today's pre-match press conference, Paris Saint-Germain defender Alana Cook looked ahead to Friday's D1 Arkema match at home to Reims.
Alana, how is the start of the season?
"We have started well, played very well in our first game but then didn't take our chances against Bordeaux. We dropped two points but we want to keep moving forward and get back to winning ways this Friday against Reims."
This Reims match comes just after an international break...
"The pre-match has been a bit strange because a lot of the girls were away with their national teams. But those of us that stayed here in Paris trained every day. We're happy to be all back together and we're looking forward to the game."
How was your summer?
"It was a very strange period, something we're not used to. Spending time with the family is always great, but the global pandemic really made things tough. It's the same all over the world, it's very strange... we are very happy to be back and working together again."
How does the squad feel today?
Our preseaspn was very short, but the coaching staff has done a fantastic job to get everyone ready as quickly as possible. This season just carried on from the last one so we had to be ready to go immediately. This season we want to win everything. That's our objective."
