Thank you Mikkel!
During this summer break, we thank the players of Paris Saint-Germain Handball who are leaving the capital club. Among them, Mikkel Hansen is leaving for new adventures, after ten seasons with Les Rouge et Bleu.
It is Paris Saint-Germain legend who is leaving the club. Or, more simply put, a legend of world handball. After ten years in the City of Light, Mikkel Hansen is returning home.

The beginning of Mikky's history with Paris Saint-Germain goes back to another era. At the beginning of that cycle, the scouts had the excellent idea of looking in Denmark for the World's Best Player.
He was one of the first to join the Parisian project and wanted to make the club a benchmark in France and in Europe. He succeeded in that quest and was part of almost every single Parisian success: nine French Championships, five Coupes de France, three Coupes de la Ligue and four Trophée des Champions.
With the Danish national team, Mikkel also achieved great success and won many titles. His trophy cabinet includes a European Championship, two World Championships and Olympic gold from 2016.
While he made the teams he played in shine, Mikkel has also done well in individual terms. He was voted best handball player in the world three times! He won the title of best player in the French championship two years in a row, but he was also awarded the title of best left-back four times.
Mikkel also left his mark on the EHF Champions League by becoming the competition's all-time leading scorer in a single season (141 goals in the 2015-2016 edition). He has also been in the competition's all-time team six times.
With 416 matches and over 2,300 goals for Paris, the player with the headband will leave an indelible mark on his sport even after his career.
