Hard-fought win over Algeria

For their first match of the main round, France were pushed all the way by Algeria (29-26). Although it wasn't the most stylish of victories, it was Les Bleus fourth win of Egypt 2021.

OUR PARISIANS IN THE MATCH

Parisian players combined for a total of four goals in this match-up: 3 from 4 for Nedim Remili and one for Luka Karabatic. The Paris Saint-Germain Handball captain was also active defensively, with two countered shots and an interception. Nedim also bagged an interception and showed once again that he is no slouch at providing assists. 
For the first time in the competition, Yann Genty was on the bench. After Wesley Pardin's injury and forfeiture, the Parisian goalkeeper made his debut in the competition, even making his first save of the World Championship. Meanwhile Vincent Gérard had a solid match with 11 saves at 31%.
