Verratti returns for a victorious Italy!

La Squadra Azzurra secured a 1-0 victory over Wales in the third and final group stage match of Euro 2020.

It had long been awaited: and he finally made his return! Marco Verratti was indeed in the starting eleven for the third group stage match of Euro 2020 against Wales. The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder played the full encounter, picked up an assist for the one and only goal of the game and took the captain's armband when Bonucci left the field.

Already qualified for the Round of 16 after two excellent wins over Turkey (0-3) and Switzerland (3-0), La Squadra Azzurra continued their excellent run with a smart victory over the Welsh (1-0) in Rome.
