Tuchel: 'Control the match'

On the eve of the Week 12 Ligue 1 clash at home to Lille, Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel spoke to the media at the traditional pre-match press conference:

THE SQUAD
"Yesterday, Edinson Cavani, Layvin Kurzawa, Dani Alves and Colin Dagba started training with the rest of the squad before following their individual programs. For Edinson, we will see how he goes in training on Friday. For the three others, it's still a bit to soon for them."

LILLE
"We have a number of difficult matches at the moment. There was Marseille, where it's always tough to play, and now there's Lille who are in great form at the moment. These are great challenges to bring out our best. Lille have some fantastic individual quality and very dangerous players in attack. They are very good on the counterattack. Tomorrow we will have to control the match, but also their counterattacks."

THE FORMATION
"We are capable of adapting. If we have to control the game differently, or attack different areas than we did against Marseille, we will do it. We will think about it, analyse and then chose the best formation and tactics. But we already know that one of the keys will be controlling Lille's counterattacks. We have to stop them at the source, to not suffer the consequences."

CAVANI
"Edi is a super attacker, a real No.9, an instinctive goal scorer. It's a real positive to have forwards with diferent profiles, it good to have players that are all different in a squad. He has a small injury at the moment, but he's still present and supporting the team. It's never easy to be a No.9 who isn't scoring. We talk a lot and we know everything will be fine, but for him, all that counts is scoring goals..."
