Thomas Tuchel: 'The time to learn'

See what the Parisians had to say after Saturday's friendly with Inter Milan.

Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach)

"The first 70 minutes were good, and no players got injured, that's the positive things, but we lacked a little bit of attitude and quality to kill the game today. We also lacked a bit of consistency too. Inter showed a lot of aggression, they battled for every ball, there was a lot of intensity, and we had to adapt to that. We still have to improve a lot of things, it's the time to learn."

Thomas Meunier (Paris Saint-Germain defender)

"It was very difficult. In the first half, it was tough. It was very hot and very humid, it's difficult to sprint. We played well together, we didn't make pointless runs and we scored from a set-piece. We held on for nearly the whole game, but cracked in the closing moments. We played against a very good Inter team that were well drilled tactically."

Marco Verratti (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder)

"We knew the conditions were going to be difficult. We trained here yesterday and saw just how difficult it was going to be. The pitch was difficult too, but it's good preparation to have conditions as tough as this. We always want to win, even friendlies. We were very close to doing that, but we conceded right at the end of the game, it's a shame."

Thilo Kehrer (Paris Saint-Germain defender)

"It was hot! Really hot, so it was hard to play fast and with high intensity, but it was the same for the two teams. Despite, I think we did some good things, especially in the second half. We struggled a little in the first half because Inter really pressed us, and pushed hard. They played high intensity and pressed high up the pitch. We were better after the break. In the end, we are disappointed to have conceded that goal in the last minute. My goal? Pablo Sarabia took the free-kick and there was a player just in front of me in the box. I jumped a bit early to try and get an advantage of him and I managed to get my head on the ball and it went in!"
