Stats & Facts: A look back at the win over Lyon

Match in numbers

Check out the standout stats and facts from Les Parisiens’ 4-1 win over Olympique Lyonnais on Matchday 30 of Ligue 1 last night.

IN A LIGUE OF THEIR OWN

Thanks to their scintillating victory last night, Paris have now racked up 15 wins in their last 21 Ligue 1 games and are also on the longest unbeaten streak of any team in the French top flight, having avoided defeat in each of their last 24 matches (17 wins and seven draws). As a result, the capital club have inched closer to the next-longest unbeaten streak in their domestic history: 25 matches between 3rd April 2022 and 28th December 2022.

A RED-HOT ATTACK

Last night's encounter was the second time in the same week that Les Parisiens had put four goals past a team, following on from their 4-1 win over Barcelona on Wednesday. It was also the second time this season that Les Rouge et Bleu had put four goals past Lyon, having beaten them by the same scoreline at Groupama Stadium back in September 2023.

In addition, Paris Saint-Germain have scored in 26 of their 29 Ligue 1 matches so far this season, a feat that no other team in the division has achieved in the same time frame. While Nemanja Matić's O.G. was Paris's quickest goal of 2023–2024 (clocking in at two minutes and 13 seconds), Lucas Beraldo became the 27th Brazilian player to score for Les Parisiens in Ligue 1 by netting the second goal of the game, meaning that Brazil has now produced more goalscorers for a single club in the French top flight than any other foreign country.

Ramos and Barcola at it again

After scoring his side's last two goals, Gonçalo Ramos has now taken his tally up to six goals in his last six starts for Paris in Ligue 1, while he has also got himself on the scoresheet in each of his last three top-flight games, bagging four goals in that time. In fact, across all competitions in 2024, the in-form Portugal international has scored ten times in 16 Paris appearances.

Having put in a top-drawer display against his former club, meanwhile, Bradley Barcola shone by notching up an assist for the second goal of the evening, with the winger now boasting eight goal involvements in his last 16 matches across all competitions for Paris (two goals and six assists), which gives him a ratio of one goal involvement every other game.
