Soler scores as Spain beat Navas' Costa Rica

Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia's Spain beat Keylor Navas' Costa Rica by 7-0 on Wednesday 23 November at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, in both side's first match of the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup group stages.

Starting the match on the bench, Carlos Soler came on to replace Gavi shortly before the hour mark, and scored La Roja's sixth goal of the encounter. Pablo Sarabia was an unused substitute.

Keylor Navas played the entire match between the sticks for his side and also wore the captain's armband.
