Results round-up for our international players

Here’s an overview of the results for Paris’s internationals during the recent break ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

KYLIAN MBAPPÉ - FRANCE

Kylian Mbappé's France side played two Nations League games: firstly, a 2-0 win over Austria at the Stade de France, with a goal for Mbappé himself, before a 2-0 defeat away to Denmark a few days later. Les Bleus finish third in their group and remain in League A.

GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA - ITALY

Sticking with the Nations League, Gigio Donnarumma's Italy started with a 1-0 win at the San Siro before booking their place in the competition's final four a few days later with a 2-0 victory away to Hungary. The semi-finals will take place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th June 2023, with the third-place play-off and the final set for Sunday 18th June. The host country will be appointed in January 2023.

MARQUINHOS / NEYMAR JR - BRAZIL

Brazil played two friendlies on French soil, starting in Le Havre with a 3-0 win over Ghana and a goal for Marquinhos before recording an impressive 5-1 win over Tunisia at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, with a goal from the spot for Neymar Jr.

LEO MESSI - ARGENTINA

Argentina notched up two friendly wins on American soil, beating both Honduras and Jamaica 3-0. In both games, there was also a brace for Leo Messi, including a particularly wonderful goal against Jamaica in New Jersey.

ACHRAF HAKIMI - MOROCCO

The Atlas Lions' schedule had a distinctly South American feel to it, as they faced both Chile and Paraguay in Spain. Walid Regragui's team started things off with a 2-0 win over Chile in Barcelona before drawing 0-0 with Paraguay in Seville. Achraf Hakimi played in both fixtures.

CARLOS SOLER / PABLO SARABIA - SPAIN

Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia's Spain are heading to the Nations League final four! Despite a 2-1 defeat at home to Switzerland, La Roja won 1-0 away to Portugal a few days later to book their place at the finals, where they will join Italy, the Netherlands and Croatia.

NUNO MENDES / DANILO PEREIRA / VITINHA - PORTUGAL

After winning 4-0 away to the Czech Republic, Portugal only needed a point against Spain to make it through to the Nations League final four. Following their 1-0 defeat at home to La Roja, though, Nuno Mendes, Danilo and Vitinha won't be heading to the finals in June.
