Tenas Express

Check out the CV of Paris Saint-Germain's new recruit Arnau Tenas!

GOALKEEPER FROM THE GET GO

Arnau Tenas started his footballing career at three years old. While children generally want to shine first with the ball at their feet, Arnau pulled on the gloves at a very early age and quickly concentrated on the unique role between the sticks.

It was in 2010, just 6 years after starting to play football, that Arnau Tenas joined La Masia, the Barcelona Academy. He quickly climbed through the ranks before becoming a fixture at the Catalan club and in the Reserves. He made a name for himself and naturally made his way through the international age groups with the Spanish youth team.

Although he hasn't played any matches for Barcelona's senior team, he has won a league championship, a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup with the Catalan club, and was La Roja's last line of defence at the UEFA Euro U19 Championship in 2019, which Spain won against Portugal. Already a few trophies in the bag!

NERVES OF STEEL

A unique style of play, and despite his young age, an impressive mental and physical strength. On his line, Tenas is a real cat, boasting impressive reflexes. Never nervous, always in control, quick and determined, Tenas says it himself: he fears nothing.

His ability to read the game gives him a great sense of timing. First on his line, then with his footwork, with which he excels in playing out from the back.

A modern goalkeeper!

?? DID YOU KNOW ??

For Arnau Tenas, it's a family affair. Coming from a footballing family, Arnau took up the gloves following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who were both professional goalkeepers in their day. So, like his twin brother, he is continuing the great lineage. Or almost. As Marc Tenas opted to play at the other end of the pitch, as a striker. He currently plays for the Alaves B team in Spain.
