Born in Shanghai (China), Yang Lina joined Shanghai Shengli, who play in the Chinese Women’s Football League, in 2015. In her first season with her hometown club, she finished leading scorer in the Chinese FA Cup. Four years later, she won the league title with the same team.
For her national team, Yang Lina played her way up through the age groups, from the U19 side to the first team, with whom she played at the Tokyo Olympics, and won the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
During the summer of 2022, the 28-year-old international midfielder crossed several continents to move to Europe and more precisely the French capital, where she will spend a season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain to add reinforcements in midfield.
