Viola Calligaris: "Everyone made me feel welcome"

After playing in the World Cup with Switzerland this summer, the Parisian defender Viola Calligaris spoke to PSG TV about her return to Paris.

VIOLA, HOW WAS THIS WORLD CUP WITH SWITZERLAND?

"The World Cup went fairly well. We managed to get out of the group stage, which was clearly an objective for us. Unfortunately, on a personal level, I was a bit injured. But overall, the competition went well for the team."

YOU'RE BACK IN PARIS NOW, WHAT ARE YOUR FIRST FEELINGS?

"Everyone has made me feel very welcome and is very kind to me. The Training Centre is great, and I can't wait to get to work here."

WITH THE WORLD CUP, THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF PLAYERS MISSING FROM THE SQUAD. how do you rate the team so far?

"It's true that there are a lot of young players at the moment. But that's a good thing for the start of the new season, as it allows me to get to know everyone. Within the group, all the players help me."

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE COMING WEEKS?

"First and foremost, my aim is to adapt to the pace here and learn the principles of playing at Paris Saint-Germain. I also want to integrate into the group as quickly as possible."

Next up for the Parisians: a second warm-up match against PSV Eindhoven at 13:00 on Saturday at the Camp des Loges.
