Bruun: 'Our team is very strong'

Scorer of the winning goal against Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain forward Signe Bruun looks back at the UEFA Women's Champions League victory and ahead to this Wednesday's semi-final against Lyon.

Signe, how does the team feel at this stage of the competition?
"It was important for us to build on all the work we did to prepare for this game. We are strong together, we are a very united squad, we all work for each other. And we are in good shape physically, we worked hard during the preparation. We're ready physically, and that's an important factor."

How do you judge the performance against Arsenal?
"We were very disappointed by our elimination against Chelsea last season. When we heard that we would be playing an English team again, we thought about that elimination. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter who your opponent is, you have to focus on yourself and have confidence in your abilities. We made it to the semi-finals, it's proof of the strength of our squad today."

You came off the bench and scored the winner…
"I was very confident throughout the match, I felt we could get the result we wanted. When I came into the game, I wanted to give it my all. It didn't matter whether I scored or a teammate scored. I just wanted to get the win."

Lyon are your next opponents on Wednesday...
"We know that Lyon is a great team. We've met them many times and most recently in the Coupe de France final. We know they are strong, but we are capable of winning. We are in good shape, we also have great players, we have talent and we are going to do everything to win this match. The last matches against Lyon were decided on very small details. We believe in ourselves, we have more than ever the means to beat them and go to the final. Our team is very strong and we believe in our chances."
