Kadidiatou Diani: 'Continue my Parisian adventure'

The Paris Saint-Germain forward put pen to paper on a contract extension on Wednesday, and told PSG.FR about her ambitions with the club.

Kadi, you've just signed a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain. What's the overriding feeling?
"When you've grown up in the Paris region like me, PSG is an institution. It's the dream of every kid who plays football to join this club. It really gives you a warm feeling inside when the club you love shows just how much they want to keep you. I also must add that we have the best fans in Paris. They support us from the first to last minute of every single game. I have got a lot of messages from them and would like to thank them. I love hearing them shout 'Paris est Magique' or 'Ici c'est Paris'. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I would also like to thank the club hierarchy for their support."

Was it important for you to continue with your club, even though there was talk you might leave?
"Yes, it's important for me to continue our adventure whether it be in the league or the Champions League, which we feature in every year."

What are your objectives with Paris, both individually and collectively?
"We started something three years ago with my teammates by winning the Coupe de France. I'd like to have the chance to win other trophies with Paris. I think my individual goals are tied in with team success. Above all, I want to score more goals year on year."

The lockdown is close to being at an end, but it's still a tough situation...
"I'm really looking forward to getting back to training, but we have to be careful and follow the advice, because our region has been badly affected. I spare a thought for the health professionals who are on the front line, and - for their sakes - we have to stay at home. I'm keeping myself in shape, and I call my family and loved ones every day."
