Five Paris Saint-Germain players honoured in D1 Arkema’s end-of-season awards
Five of Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team players are among the winners of D1 Arkema’s end-of-season awards, with Kadidiatou Diani being named as the 2022/2023 player of the season.
Currently the league’s top scorer with 17 goals, Diani was voted as the player of the season by Division 1’s managers and captains, beating Olympique Lyonnais’s Delphine Cascarino and Paris teammate Grace Geyoro in the process.
The Rouge et Bleu attacker wins the award for the second time in her career, having already picked it up in 2021, and succeeds Marie-Antoinette Katoto on its list of winners. A Paris Saint-Germain player has therefore bagged this award in each of the last three seasons.
Diani also features in the Division 1 team of the season alongside three other Parisiennes: defenders Elisa De Almeida and Sakina Karchaoui as well as midfielder Grace Geyoro.
Lieke Martens, meanwhile, won the award for goal of the season thanks to her strike in the 3-1 win over Dijon FCO on Matchday 5.
