Jocelyn Prêcheur: "We want to take on an opponent like that."

On the eve of the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage match day 2 against FC Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain coach Jocelyn Prêcheur answered questions from PSG TV and the media. Here are some extracts.

THE GROUP'S FITNESS

"Ramona Bachmann had a muscle injury in her calf but it's getting better and she's training with the group now. On the other hand, Sandy Baltimore won't be with us this week, as the knock she received against Fleury is more serious than we thought. In goal, Constance Picaud is also unavailable, so Katarzyna Kiedrzynek will start tomorrow's game.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto is getting better and better physically, and she even scored last weekend. We know what she's capable of and our aim is to support her until she's back to full fitness."

THE WIN AGAINST FLEURY

"The game against Fleury was a good rehearsal. It was a big challenge mentally because it was a derby. It was a tough, committed game, which is what we're expecting tomorrow too. Bayern don't play the same way as Fleury, but from a psychological point of view, these are two matches that could be very similar."

the dynamics of the moment

"We've been less consistent since the international break. We need to rediscover that consistency to be more effective. I wanted to bring in a lot of young players, so it takes time to create an understanding. It's necessary to give some of the senior players a breather. Our team is starting to take shape and if we show a winning performance, then I'm confident we'll be able to put in a good performance tomorrow."

bayern munich

"This game will be decisive. It's at home and we need to pick up points. We have to react and play a good game. We want to take on an opponent like that. They're a team capable of playing through the middle of the park but also of creating chances down the flanks. They're also clinical in their opponents' penalty area. It's going to be an interesting match between two teams who like to have the ball."
