Jocelyn PrĂȘcheur: "We needed to be mentally strong and react well at the break"

Find out how the assistant manager of Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team, Jocelyn Prêcheur, reacted to his side’s 3-0 win away to Bordeaux on Matchday 8 of D1 Arkema.

Jocelyn PrĂȘcheur

"We started the game well and looked decent in the opening stages. After the first quarter of an hour, Bordeaux managed to start playing higher, and that caused us problems. We had 20 tricky minutes. After that, we managed to open the scoring just before the break. We then changed a few things at half time to give ourselves more of a link between the two lines [of midfield and attack]. In the second half, that helped us to regain the ascendancy. It's worth highlighting that Bordeaux never gave up. They fought for every ball, and it's difficult to play against them. We needed to be mentally strong and react well at the break to come away from here with the win. The conditions weren't easy, with a very greasy pitch that obviously makes it hard to get the ball down and play. This was the kind of game that can be decided by a set piece, and that's what happened. The positive thing about today is how we reacted in the second half."
