PrĂȘcheur: 'It was a real Champions League clash'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Jocelyn Prêcheur and Marie-Antoinette Katoto spoke to PSG TV after Les Rouge et Bleu's great 3-1 win over Ajax on Matchday 5 of the UEFA Women's Champions League.

JOCELYN PrĂȘcheur

"It was a great night. I think it was a real Champions League clash with great intensity. The good thing today was that we were capable of adapting when we had to defend low or when we had to attack on the counter. And even though we didn't have as much possession in the second half and were more focused on defensive duties, we still felt that on the counter-attack we could have scored a fourth goal. So it's good, we're improving, we're adding different strings to our bow. I also hope that these are matches in which the youngsters gain in experience and grow, so that in the long run we can play with even more calm and confidence.

"First place in Group C? Of course, after the first Bayern game, I would have signed up straight away to be in this position, with top spot in the group. But having said that, while we're in a good position, we're still not qualified. There's a crucial game against Bayern and we're expecting a big game next Tuesday in Munich."

MARIE-ANTOINETTE KATOTO

"It was a great night, a really good performance from the team. I'm really happy, very proud. We'd been waiting for this match since the first leg, we wanted revenge, and today we're first in the group. We've played a big game, but there's still one to go, and we're already focused on next week.

"The last match against Bayern? I don't think we'll have to think about it too much. We try to win every game. So we're going to Munich to win that match and finish top of the group, that's the most important thing. We're going to prepare calmly without overdoing it either, because we've come a long way. But we'll be ready for next week.

"How am I doing? Little by little, day by day, I'm trying to do my best for the team. I know I'm still a little way off my best, but it's coming along step by step."
