Ollé-Nicolle: 'Keep getting stronger'

Paris Saint-Germain Women's coach Didier Ollé-Nicolle spoke to PSG.fr about the Rouge et Bleu preseason ahead of Wednesday's friendly match against AS Roma in Toulouse, at 18:00 CET.

Coach, pre-season preparations continue this week in Toulouse…

"We have arrived here for the Amos French Cup, along with some great teams (AS Roma, Bayern Munich and Lyon). In terms of our preseason, we have been working on our fitness and getting a good feeling back with the football over the past two weeks, including our match against Bordeaux, during which everyone played 45 minutes, including the young girls. I wanted to see everyone play and it was very interesting."

What are your next objectives?

"In the next two weeks we want to keep getting stronger, fitter and raise the intensity. We are starting the tactical work now, like this morning: winning back possession and playing on. Training this afternoon will be about using the ball and how to react when we lose it, which will be important in our future game plan. We will have the chance to keep getting stronger, and play with more intensity and impact in the challenges, as a team, in tomorrow's game against Roma and then on Friday against either Bayern or Lyon."

What are you expecting from this second friendly game of the season?

"I want us to play like a real team. That's why I'm talking about intensity, fight and spirit... There has been a great atmosphere in the squad since the start of preseason. It's really good. Here we are in our bubble, from 8am to 10pm, almost always together. It's a chance to talk and discuss things and share ideas."
