Didier Ollé Nicolle : "I am only thinking about victory"

The Paris Saint-Germain women's team coach spoke to PSG TV about the Coupe de France final that awaits his players against Yzeure this Sunday 15 May at the Stade Gaston Gérard in Dijon.

COACH, TOMORROW IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT GAMES OF THE SEASON. HOW is the team feeling?

"Everyone knows that since qualifying at Fleury, it has been an objective of the club, an objective of the team. We had a difficult journey, we had to eliminate Lyon, travel to Montpellier, go and beat Fleury, between our two Bayern matches, so it was an extremely complicated draw to get to this final. But now it's a final to win, a trophy to win, a line to write on our honours list. So it's very important. This week of preparation went well, we came back with the victory in Bordeaux, now it's up to us to play."

WITH THREE GAMES TO GO, HOW DO YOU VIEW THE SEASON for the Parisiennes?

"Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best clubs in Europe and we have held our own. I think we've had an interesting season, being second and fighting right to the end in the league... With this first leg remaining a question mark right to the end. We were in the semi-finals of the Champions League, where it was a close call, there were also interesting performances, we filled the Parc des Princes. I see things positively. On the other hand, we have to win this Coupe de France. It is crucial to say that we have had a complete season in which we have fought on all fronts, while winning a trophy."

TOMORROW, PARIS FACES THE TEAM FROM YZEURE. ON PAPER, IS THE CLUB FROM THE CAPITAL THE FAVOURITE ?

"I never imagined that we would start as favourites. I've played enough Coupe de France matches, with wonderful runs as underdogs and disappointments as favourites, that we must show respect for this opponent who has reached the final with its qualities. We have to have the humility to say that nothing can be taken for granted. But we have to play a very strong game to win it. I am only thinking about winning. But we have to prepare psychologically so that we don't get complacent, and we have to show that we are having a good season, that we are a great team."
