Diani named Player of the Month
After a stunning start to the campaign, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kadidiatou Diani has been named D1 Arkema Player of the Month for September.
This is a new feature of the French Football Federation for the 2020-2021 season: from now on there will be a trophy for the best female player in D1 Arkema every month.
To start the ball rolling, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kadidiatou Diani was elected in September, ahead of Rose Lavaud (Dijon FCO) and Ellie Carpenter (Olympique Lyonnais).
With five goals scored and an assist in the first three games of the championship, the Parisian striker had made a very strong impression.
A hat-trick and an assist for Marie-Antoinette Katoto on the opening day against Guingamp (4-1), followed by a double against Reims (4-0) contributed to this thunderous debut.
And it continues because the top scorer of the championship is on her way again in October. This Sunday against Dijon, the France international delivered another assist before a goal and a cross which allowed Luana and Katoto to to score again (0-3).
This Saturday, before the home match against Montpellier, the 25-year-old will be awarded the first trophy of the season by the Federation.
