Ashley Lawrence: 'Ready to get the win'

The Canadian international talked about the Women's D1 Week 16 clash with Montpellier at at the Stade Jean Bouin at 18:30 on Saturday.

Hello Ashley, what's the team's frame of mind like as this big clash approaches?
"We're focused on the match. We know that there are seven matches left in the league and that Montpellier are a very good team. We have worked hard this week, but we need to focus on our game and play to our strengths. We're very demanding. It will be a great match and we will need to be ready to get the win."

Did the week's preparations go well?

"There was a bit of snow, but all the girls stayed focused - regardless of the weather - because this is a huge match. We have to stay absolutely dedicated."

You're looking for the win on Saturday?

"Victory is always the most important thing. We're two points behind Lyon and things are tight, but we know that in each match, we have to go after the win. There is a still a league clash with Lyon to come, so we're not going to give an inch."

Will you be drawing inspiration from your first meeting this season as you look to take all three points?

"We played well in that match. We created chances and were very efficient in the area. We need to keep starting our matches well, as we did in our first meeting. We hit the ground running and grew in confidence as the match played out. We need to do the same on Saturday."
