Amanda Ilestedt signs for Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the club has signed Amanda Ilestedt. The Sweden international central defender is now tied to the club from the capital until 30 June 2023.

Hailing from Sölvesborg, Amanda Ilestedt began her professional career at FC Rosengård at just 16 years of age in 2009. In seven seasons with the Swedish giants, she won five league titles, four Super Cups and two Swedish Cup crowns.

In 2017, the defender left her homeland for Germany, spending two seasons with Turbine Potsdam before joining Bayern Munich, with whom she won the 2021 Bundesliga title.

Amanda Ilestedt first represented her country at U17 level and in her first major senior tournament she reached the semi-finals of the Euro in 2013.

She has since earned 39 caps for her country, scoring four 4 goals and took part in the FIFA World Cup in 2019, in France, finishing third.

Currently in Tokyo representing her country at the Olympic Games, Amanda will join Paris Saint-Germain after the competition.
