Internationals week recap

Nineteen of Paris Saint-Germain's women's team joined their respective national teams during this international break. Here is a look at their performances.

CONSTANCE PICAUD / GRACE GEYORO / KHEIRA HAMRAOUI / SANDY BALTIMORE / KADIDIATOU DIANI - FRANCE

The Tournoi de France 2023 was on the programme for the French women's team. Three matches were played and the results were positive for Les Bleues! Two clear victories against their counterparts from Denmark (1-0) and Uruguay (5-1) and a draw against Norway (0-0). 

AMANDA ILESTEDT - sweden

Amanda Ilestedt's Sweden first flew to Spain where they taught China a lesson with a 4-1 victory. The Swedes then travelled to Germany to face the home team. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. Amanda Ilestedt came on against China and did not play against Germany.

MARINA GEORGIEVA - austria

Marina Georgieva's Austria took part in two friendlies against the Netherlands. The Austrians won 2-1 before losing 4-0. Our n°23 played the whole of the two matches.

JACKIE GROENEN / LIEKE MARTENS - netherlands

Both selected, our Parisians Jackie Groenen and Lieke Martens flew to Malta to face their Austrian counterparts where they met up with their club teammate Marina Georgieva. They first lost 1-2, but then won 4-0 thanks to a goal from Lieke Martens! 

RAMONA BACHMANN - switzerland

Our striker Ramona Bachmann's Nati travelled to Spain for two games against Poland. They drew 0-0 and 1-1. The Parisian n°10 played the whole of the first match and the first half of the second. 

AMALIE VANGSGAARD - denmark

Amalie Vangsgaard and her Danish teammates also participated in the Tournoi de France. Their tournament started with a defeat against France (1-0) and then they won two matches. First against Norway (2-0) and then against Uruguay (3-2). Our Danish striker scored the winning goal for Denmark! 

BERGLIND BJÖRG THORVALDSDOTTIR - IceLAND

Two wins and a draw. This is the Iceland team's good record. The Parisian striker and her team took part in the Pinatar Cup 2023 in Spain. Iceland beat Scotland (2-0) and then drew 0-0 with Wales. Finally, the Iceland women ended their stay in the most beautiful way by winning 5-0 against the Philippines!

LI MENGWEN - CHINa

Despite a goal by Li Mengwen, China did not win any of their matches. They lost 4-1 to Sweden and then drew with Ireland. Our defender played in both games. 

ASHLEY LAWRENCE - CANADA

The Parisian Ashley Lawrence headed to the United States to play three friendly matches. The Canadian women have had a mixed record, losing two and winning one of their games. Canada lost (2-0) to the United States, then beat Brazil (2-0) before losing again to Japan. Ashley Lawrence played in all three games. 

ALLYSON SWABY - JAMAica

The Jamaican women's team headed to Australia where they faced Spain, the Czech Republic and the home team, Australia. The three matches ended in 3-0, 3-2 and 3-0 defeats. Allyson Swaby played in all three matches. 

LAURINA FAZER / ORIANNE JEAN-FRANÇOIS / MANSSITA TRAORÉ - FRANCE U23

Two friendlies against the United States were on the cards for the French U23s. They first lost 2-0 before drawing 1-1 at Clairefontaine. 

KORBIN ALBERT - united-states U23

Korbin Albert and her American teammates faced the French. The result was a win and a draw for the Americans. Korbin Albert played the entire first match.
