Who will be Player of the Month for April?
Paris Saint-Germain Handball had three matches on their schedule in April… who do you think was the capital club's best player in this period?
MIKKEL HANSEN

As per usual, Mikkel Hansen made Lidl StarLigue defences suffer in April. Ivry's back-line (24-37) will have a particularly bitter memory of the Dane, who fired 8 from 9 in the 13-goal win. Two weeks later, when Montpellier came calling in Paris, our left-back was 100% accurate with 3 from 3. In the Velux EHF Champions League, Mikki was named among the Best 7 voted for by the coaches.

UWE GENSHEIMER

Paris' top scorer in April with 22 goals, Uwe Gensheimer added quality to quantity, notably against Kielce in the first leg of the Velux EHF Champions League quarter-final tie. Despite his side's copping a ten-goal defeat, the Parisian left-winger struck no fewer than 11 times, top-scoring in the match. In doing so, Uwe produced two sublime exemplars of his renowned wrist shot to beat Vladimir Cupara. Back in France, the Germany captain shone against Montpellier with 8 from 9, including one goal chosen among the Top 5 Goals for the round, earning a place in the Best 7. He has been nominated for the LNH's Lidl StarLigue Player of the Month for April.
LUKA KARABATIC

Luka Karabatic is also no stranger to the concept of cutting edge. The man who turned 32 a few days ago showed plenty of resolve against boyhood club Montpellier at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin, shooting 6 from 6 while also working selflessly in defence. Thanks to his excellent work on the edge of the area, the team made the most of numerous counter-attacks to make sure of the big 33-26 win.
VIRAN MORROS

Luka was helped out in no short order by defender Viran Morros. The Spanish international also shone against Montpellier, making a number of interceptions that proved to be decisive while also muzzling Lidl StarLigue top scorer Melvyn Richardson and limiting him to just three goals. Morros' hard work also helped compatriot Rodrigo Corrales to an excellent performance that featured no fewer than 15 saves. What's more, the Spaniard was coaxed out of his comfort zone for the trip to Ivry, playing in a more advanced role and managing to score a goal!

LUC ABALO

Luc Abalo always enjoys returning to his home town of Ivry. In Lidl StarLigue Round 20, our right-winger was once again excellent against USI, where he won the French league and was voted MVP in 2007. He tasted success with everything he tried, shooting 6 from 6, before going on to another strong performance with three goals as his side beat Montpellier.
