Viran Morros: 'We did the job!'

A look back at the Parisian victory over Montpellier in the Lidl StarLigue's crunch clash for Round 9.

Jesus Gonzalez (Paris Saint-Germain Handball assistant coach):
"It was very important to get off to a good start. Thanks to our good defence in the first half, we were able to get in front quite quickly. The match was pretty well controlled overall. We also looked after our head-to-head goal difference with the last time-out at the end of the game. You never know whether it will come in handy at the end of the season."

Luka Karabatic (Paris Saint-Germain Handball pivot and captain):
"We played a complete game. We were rarely on the back foot during this match. We knew that Montpellier would never give up and that's why we had to stay solid. Our fans pushed us tonight - they helped us to play with a lot of drive and to get stuck into the challenges. These were the ingredients we needed to win this big match. Mathematically, we did well and now have a six-point led at the top. But the season is still long, and many things can happen. In any case, it's good for our confidence and it pushes us to work harder and harder."

Viran Morros (Paris Saint-Germain Handball defender):
"We started very well, with a lot of intensity, and that allowed us to get several goals in front, a lead we kept throughout the game. We had been preparing for this meeting all week. We're did the job! We're very happy with the result, it gives us a six-point lead over our chasers. We know we've played a lot of important games at home, so it's a valuable lead to take into the rest of the season, which could perhaps be a little more complicated."
