The final sprint begins: what awaits Les Rouge et Bleu in May

Despite being interrupted by a week of international fixtures, May brings the capital club closer to its various objectives. The season marathon is drawing to a close, and the first laurels are ready to be awarded.

A clash and a legendary tribute to kick things off

On Sunday 4 May, Les Rouge et Bleu will return to Coubertin for Liqui Moly StarLigue Matchday 26. A week after Tremblay did it (30-26), Limoges are preparing to travel to the capital club's home court. But the Parisians' objective is clear: to make this day a celebration from start to finish. Because beyond this crucial match in the quest for a 12th French championship title, Paris Saint-Germain Handball will also be taking advantage of one of its last home games of the season to pay a final tribute to Nikola Karabatic. Almost a year after his last match in Parisian colours, the legendary No.44 will see his jersey hoisted high at Coubertin, symbolising his indelible mark on the capital club.

A final and two visits to THE SOUTH-WEST

After that, it's time for another international break, during which seven Parisiens will return to their national teams for matches with varying stakes. The return to club competition will take place on Sunday 18 May, with a huge match on the cards! Raul Gonzalez's men will travel to the AccorArena to contest the Coupe de France final against Montpellier. This will be an opportunity for Les Rouge et Bleu to win their first trophy of the season.

This decisive match against Erick Mathé's side will serve as a prelude to the final headline clash of this season's Liqui Moly StarLigue. MHB and Paris will meet again on Saturday 31 May at the Sud de France Arena for their Matchday 28 encounter. This match could well be decisive for the title, as there will only be games left to play once the infal buzzer sounds.

In the meantime, Paris will have to do what it takes against Montpellier's rivals, Nîmes. Away from home in the heated atmosphere of the Parnasse, Les Rouge et Bleu will try to thwart the plans of USAM, who are pushing hard at the end of the season to qualify for European competition.
