Vincent Gérard: 'The return leg will be interesting'

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"Today was very difficult, because we were chasing the game throughout the match. Kiel managed to take a four-goal lead during the game. Their seven-man attack made it difficult for us. We will now work to go after a Final4 spot."

VINCENT GÉRARD (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL GOALKEEPER):

"We didn't get off to a great start, which is a shame. We were behind on the scoreboard for a long time. In terms of the game, it's not a bad result. We will have a nice quarter-final second leg! They fought well in front of our fans, and we had do the same at home. It's up to us to show that we deserve to qualify in the second leg. The fans never gave up! They made us understand that just because we lost the first five minutes, the match wasn't over. They allowed us to recover. We had chances to go ahead, but it will make for an interesting return leg. You never know what can happen out there."

NEDIM REMILI (RIGHT BACK OF PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL):

"Against Kiel, it's always a tough fight. We didn't play well at the beginning of the halves, be it the first or the second. Afterwards, we had to chase the game, but we managed to equalise. Unfortunately, we missed too many easy shots, especially from six metres. We will analyse what went wrong and find solutions to the seven-on-six game that caused us problems. It is neither a good nor a bad result. Everything remains to be done. The support of the fans was very important. They were in full voice. It's probably due to them that we managed to level it up. A big thank you to the fans!"
