Two Rouge et Bleu honoured after Aalborg win

Following Paris Saint-Germain Handball's 30-32 victory over Aalborg in the EHF Champions League Matchday 10 on Thursday, two Parisians were rewarded for their performances.

In fine form in recent weeks, Elohim once again showed his talent on Thursday. While we are used to his devastating power, the French international shwed he also has plenty of finesse as he scored a superb goal against Aalborg. Set up on the counter-attack by Kent Robin Tonnesen, our left-back feinted beautifully to get past his marker before slotting the ball past Niklas Landin. The goal was enough for Les Rouge et Bleu to equalise and complete a quick-fire hat-trick against the Danes to level the score shortly after the quarter-hour mark (19': 9-9). It is therefore only logical that Elohim’s effort should feature among the top goals for EHF Champions League Matchday 10, and he is not the only Parisian to have been rewarded this week.

Luc Steins turned in another outstanding performance and was named in the Best 7 for EHF Champions League Matchday 10. After Elohim against Kolstad and Mathieu against Kiel, this is the third consecutive matchday with a Parisian in the Best 7. Against Aalborg, Luc proved decisive at crucial moments. Three of the Dutch international's five goals were equalisers, keeping the capital club on the road to victory. Already named in the Best 7 for the first leg against the Danes, Luc once again proved his presence in big matches.
