Two Parisians honoured

At the end of a week in which Paris Saint-Germain Handball once again saw action in the EHF Champions League - with an unlucky trip to Kiel (26-24) - and the Liqui Moly StarLigue, with a win in Toulouse (31-34), two Parisians have been rewarded on the national and continental stages.

In a perilous trip to the Sparkassen-Arena in Kiel on Thursday, Les Rouge et Bleu lost by a narrow margin after a pitched battle (26-24). With the club capital club dominating the early stages, Mathieu Grébille sparked a Parisian revolt with a hat-trick to put his side back in the game (10'h: 6-4). With seven goals from eight attempts, the French international finished as the match's top scorer and was named in the EHF Champions League Best 7 for the Week, while Andreas and Luka were also rewarded for their performances.

Raul Gonzalez's men rounded off the week in the best possible way, continuing their perfect record in the Liqui Moly StarLigue this season with a 31-27 win over Toulouse. In a match that went right down to the wire against a strong Toulouse side, the Parisians were able to make the difference and claim their eleventh win in a row. Despite having been forced off early in the clash with Montpellier (31-27) and then missing the trip to Kiel in midweek (26-24), Kamil Syprzak was back on the court at the Palais des Sports in Toulouse. Our pivot came on in the 22nd minute and immediately made the difference, before adding six more goals to his tally in the second half. With seven goals from nine attempts, Kamil thus gets his sixth nomination in the Best 7 in just 12 league games.
