Two more Parisians honoured
A number of Parisians shone during their 34-31 victory at the Palais des Sports in Toulouse as part of Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 12 on Sunday, with Andreas Palicka and David Balaguer both receiving awards.
In sparkling form in recent weeks, Andreas Palicka once again showed the full extent of his talent in Toulouse. In a game that was closely contested right up until the final moments, the Swedish goalkeeper proved decisive on numerous occasions, particularly in the dying seconds. With the capital club only two goals clear with less than five minutes remaining, Gonçalo Martins Vieira popped up on the right flank for a one-on-one with Andreas. The Parisian 'keeper then pulled off a splendid save to prevent the home side from coming back to within a goal and giving the game a new lease of life (56': 28-30). It was duly honoured as one of the best saves of Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 12.
On top of their defensive solidity, Raul Gonzalez's men also proved extremely efficient in front of goal. Barely two minutes after Andreas' magnificent save, David Balaguer beat Jef Lettens with a splendid chabala to give his side a three-goal lead and seal victory for the capital club (59': 30-33). The goal was selected among the Top Goals of Round 12.
