Successful pre-season continues

Paris Saint-Germain Handball played their second pre-season friendly on Friday, one week after beating Ivry (33-24). This time, Les Rouge et Bleu hosted Créteil at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin.

Although it was a hotly contested match, Raul Gonzalez's men got off to a strong start and were the first to carve out a lead. Offensively, they had the super-effective duo of Nikola Karabatic and Henrik Toft Hansen to get the ball rolling.

Defensively, it was Yann Genty who took his place in the Parisian goal, and he didn't disappoint! Our last rampart notably pulled off a superb double save that kept his team six points ahead.

No surprise then that Les Rouge et Bleu returned to the changing rooms with clear advantage on the scoreboard (30': 20-16).

In the second half, Niko and Henrik continued to combine and get the ball to the back of the net (36': 24-19), but Paris also distinguished themselves on counter-attacks, like the two concluded by Dylan Nahi in quick succession (43': 30-23).

As the minutes ticked down, a Parisian victory seemed very much on the cards and, in these last moments, it was Nedim Remili who stood out, first from the penalty line...

… and then with an assist for Dainis Kristopans!

Paris Saint-Germain Handball thus followed up with a second victory in as many pre-season outings. They will look to do the same on Saturday afternoon, once again against Ivry, at the Gymnase Auguste Delaune.
