Sebastian Karlsson and Mateo Maraš, future Paris Saint-Germain Handball players
Paris Saint-Germain handball is delighted to announce the arrivals of Swedish right-winger Sebastian Karlsson and Croatian right-back Mateo Maraš, who will join the Club at the beginning of the 2025-2026 season. The two internationals have signed two-year contracts.
SEBASTIAN KARLSSON: AN EXPERIENCED INTERNATIONAL WINGER
A product of the youth academy at IK Sävehof in Sweden, Sebastian Karlsson had his first experience abroad at the age of 17, playing for Spanish side Gades in 2012-2013. He then returned to his boyhood club for a ten-year spell, winning two league titles, a Swedish Cup and an EHF Challenge Cup.
The right-winger was voted into the Swedish league's All Star Team in 2022 and 2023, before signing for Montpellier Handball. He will be leaving that club to join Paris Saint-Germain handball in a few months' time.
Sebastian Karlsson and his national team won the bronze medal at the 2024 European Championships in Germany.
