Karl Konan will join Paris Saint-Germain Handball in 2025

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce the arrival of Karl Konan from Montpellier Handball, effective as of the summer of 2025. The left-back will be tied to the Club until 30 June 2028.

Karl Konan, a native of Cocody (Côte d'Ivoire), made his handball debut with Entente Sportive de Bingerville in 2009. He moved to France in 2014 to join the Pays d'Aix Université Club Handball youth academy. 

A year later, the 29-year-old left-back, who stood out in particular for his defensive qualities, signed his first professional contract at Aix. He was named as best defender of the season in the league in 2019. A few years later, he joined Montpellier Handball. He now has 227 Liqui Moly StarLigue appearances (275 goals) to his name. 

A French international, the future Parisian won his first cap on 2 May 2021 against Greece (46-30) and has been selected for 2024 Paris Olympics. He now has 42 caps and seven goals to his name.
