Sadou Ntanzi: 'We fought hard'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Nikola Karabatic and Sadou Ntanzi after the final match of the EHF Champions League group stage (39-40).

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"The group stage was already over before this match. We wanted to do our best, but Veszprém were better than us tonight. It's a new competition that starts with the round of 16. This match in Nantes can be decisive in terms of widening our lead over them. If we win, we will have a nine-point lead and that is pretty considerable. It's up to us to do everything we can to win before the international break."

NIKOLA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT-BACK):

"Even though we had nothing to play for in this match, we gave it our all. We wanted to please our fans as well as ourselves. I am proud of us; we never gave up. We fought until the end. Nantes will be here on Sunday in the league. While it would help us in terms of our ranking to win this game, my main motivation is that I don't want to lose two games in a row at home."

SADOU NTANZI (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL CENTRE-HALF):

"We wanted to win this last game of the group stage, at home, in front of our fans. We didn't manage to do it, but there are good things to take from it. We fought well; it was a very physical match and when you look at the final score, you can see that the attacks of both teams were more important than the defences. Today Veszprém won the match, but it's not over yet. We will start preparing for our next league match, against Nantes, before thinking about our last 16 tie against Elverum."
