Raul Gonzalez: 'I thank my players'

Check out the reactions from Raul Gonzalez, Luka Karabatic and Elohim Prandi after Paris Saint-Germain Handball's Liqui Moly StarLigue Round 35 victory over Montpellier (37-33), which saw them clinch a ninth league title.

RAUL GONZALEZ (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL COACH):

"I think we have to congratulate all the club's players and staff. It was very difficult to do this. I thank my players. The objective now is to rest a little bit ahead of the game we will play against Kiel. Everyone thought that we would win the game just like we did the last time. But Montpellier have very good players; we had a lot of problems in the first half, but we changed that in the second half and everything went well."

LUKA KARABATIC (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL PIVOT AND CAPTAIN):

"It's never trivial [to win another title]. It's true that it's not the same as the first one, but you never get used to winning, because it requires a lot of work every day. It is a real feat that we pulled off by beating a great Montpellier team. We are happy to win this championship, it's important to savour it even if we all already have our heads in the match against Kiel. It's a first reward. Anyway, we have other objectives. Right now, we're focused on the EHF Champions League and this game against Kiel. We knew that Montpellier had been affected during the Coupe de France game. They played very well in the first half, but we were able to come back and put the momentum behind us."

ELOHIM PRANDI (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN HANDBALL LEFT-BACK):

"It's always great to win, it's the toughest league in the world. It's a great performance, congratulations to all the staff and all the players. We must not rest on our laurels. The grand slam is a challenge for us and we must respect each team in the championship. I feel that we are good, we have massive mental strength. Montpellier weren't going to make the same start they did two weeks ago. We tightened up our defence, and there were some great saves by Yann, who was very good."
